Hi there, I’m Hans!

I love exploring new ways of telling compelling stories through experience, which I believe is one of the great potentials of film. I make documentaries and I am especially interested in topics such as sustainability, commons and commoning, and the relationship between humans and technology.

In December 2021 I finished Ultima Milla (in English “Last Mile”), a 37′ minutes documentary that was screened on the Catalan public broadcaster Canal 33 and is now available on its website (with English subtitles). The documentary reports the problem of urban-rural digital divide caused by the speculation of major telecom operators and follows the struggle of a group of activists who, despite living in a rural area, manage to connect to high-speed Internet in an alternative and sustainable way.

Since November 2021 I am slowly discovering the thrilling world of VFX, working as VFX editor at Spellwork Pictures GmbH. Previously (2014 to 2021) I worked as a cameraman and video editor for different TV channels such as TV3, Antena3, Telecinco, France 24, BFMTV and others – mainly in Germany and Belgium – realizing journalistic reports and documentaries. I have also produced some corporate videos for companies such as Zeppelin Rental GmbH or the startup Grüneo and in 2021 I started editing educational content for platforms Domestika.org and Jobleads.com.

Education:
I was trained in Barcelona where I studied a Bachelor in Audiovisual Media at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain) which included an exchange program that granted me the opportunity to spend several months at the Wrexham Glyndwr University (United Kingdom) studying in the Television & Technology department. My special interest in documentary film led me to pursue a 2 years (from 2016 to 2018) Master in Visual Anthropology at the Freie Universität Berlin (Germany).

Don’t hesitate to contact me if you are interested in my work, I am always happy to participate in new exciting projects.
